Environmentally Conscious
In the Raw is environmentally conscious. We have found many ways to recycle and re-use our materials. Some of the fun ways we recycle we have found below. We encourage everyone to try and do their best to re-use and recycle our packaging when possible.
Since Halifax does not allow plastic bottles/packages that are not cleaned of contents, we have come up with a creative solution. To avoid using so much water to wash out these peanut butter containers we have dogs that use them as a yummy treat and they can then be put directly into recycling. Everyone is happy!
Many of those food scraps don’t even make it to the green bin. One of our employees has taken up a hobby in fabrics. She uses natural materials to dye her fabrics and our scraps are perfect for her to use.
